PM Imran Khan’s Appeal, Eid al-Adha and Karachi – The City of Trash

Welcome back, we’ve already discussed the problems of Karachi (The City of Lights) during monsoon in our previous article. Today, we will look into those horrific events that occur after Eid al-Adha around the city. We will further discuss PM Imran Khan’s Appeal to celebrate this Eid al-Adha in simplicity due to COVID-19 and Karachi – the city of trash. Without further ado, let’s get started!

I was wondering what to write, you know, it’s so much difficult to choose a topic and write about it. Every time, I just login to my WordPress, scroll through Google read 1 or more articles, and end up logging out. That means it took me days, hours, or weeks to decide the topic. You may sometime feel like ‘where the heck this admin gone?’ or ‘why not any new updates are coming on ReadaZon?’. I understand your feelings but try to understand me, I come daily to my website want desperately to write something or anything that will be enjoyable, knowledgeable, understandable for my audience. But, it never occurs to me, you may call it ‘inspiration’ yeah, I look for inspiration to write about.Thinking always

Today, I would share my opinions on Eid al-Adha and the way Karachi turns from the city of lights into the city of TRASH. Also, we would discuss some political views such as PM Imran Khan’s appeal regarding Eid al-Adha. These are the real-life issues that we need to talk about or try to resolve them. I know, I am getting more observant day by day, as a Karachities from childhood these things shouldn’t be bothering me, right? but they are the reasons behind deteriorated Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan’s Appeal

Okay, let’s begin with PM Imran Khan’s appeal about Eid al-Adha. Due to COVID-19, PM Imran Khan asked the public to celebrate Eid at your home with your loved ones following the safety precautions. The virus is contained for a while but it will get out of control if the public does not act accordingly.PM Imran Khan's Appeal, Eid al-Adha and Karachi - The City of Trash

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday appealed to the nation to mark the upcoming Eid al-Adha with simplicity and take precautionary measures so that the number of Covid-19 cases in the country does not rise again. “The virus spreads rapidly when a large number of people gather,” He said.

“Today, I want to make a special appeal to you all: if we are careless on Eidul Azha, the virus could spread again and there could be a fresh spike in the number of infections. Hospitals will come under pressure again. So I’m appealing to you all to mark this Eid with simplicity.” ~PM Imran Khan

He further added:

“I appeal to the entire nation to observe Eid with simplicity — for the sake of your country, its economy and especially the elderly and at-risk members of the society.

If we take care now, then we can manage, God willing, to come out of this pandemic better than other countries.” ~PM Imran Khan

Karachi – The City of Trash

This may look hurtful, but we can not ignore reality. The reality is the city of lights often turned into the city of trash during Eid al-Adha. Why am I saying this? What made me talk like that about the city I was born and raised in? How can I say such a thing for my native land? So many questions but the answer are quite simple, a corrupt politician and jaahil awaam. A corrupt politician is an understandable term, but the jaahil awaam is the worst. You can never understand their concepts neither you can make them understand yours.PM Imran Khan's Appeal, Eid al-Adha and Karachi - The City of Trash

During Eid al-Adha Muslims proudly sacrifice an animal (one or more), to honor Ibrahim’s spirit of sacrifice, in the path of Allah (SWT). Eid al-Adha is, however, not about shedding blood to please God. It’s about giving up something you hold dear in devotion to God. Eid al-Adha is also called (Bari Eid), the joy it brings to our surroundings is unmeasurable and on this day Allah showers His countless blessings upon humanity. To be honest, this Eid makes us all feel happy and united.Karachi - The city of Trash

The problem is that the garbage (wastage of sacrificed animals) stinks in the city for many days, which leaves nothing but a disgusting image of this so-called ‘the city of lights’. There is literally no one to clean that mess up for days, but eventually, they clean it. The role of the public is miserable during Eid al-Adha. If you guys have finished sacrificing the animal at least do not put aside that intestine, stomach, pancreas, the head, or whatever the hell inside the animal by the street. You can at least go and properly throw them into society’s garbage bin (kachra kondi), no? That would make things good.PM Imran Khan's Appeal, Eid al-Adha and Karachi - The City of Trash

You know what makes me so angry regarding this ridiculous act of public. Some of them would throw animal wastage in between the main street, like seriously? who does that? Why don’t guys be a little literate and do your job as being a responsible citizen by cleaning your own city? That is the “Jaahil Awaam” I was talking about earlier. They are the main reason behind the city’s disgusting image. I think we should really work on ourselves, perform or act as being a good citizen by cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of our city.

I hope many of you get the point of my writing this. I would really much appreciate it if you comment down if I am missing anything in this article. Would love to see your remarks, share your thoughts in the comments below. Thank you~
