In response to your overwhelming support and appreciation, I decided to write down 10 surprising facts about Dajjal (Antichrist) everyone should know. As you know, my previous articles about Dajjal are quite knowledgeable and I believe that as we are getting close to the day of resurrection we are neglecting the major signs.
The appearance of Dajjal is one of the major signs of the day of resurrection and we are getting closer to this fitna day by day. We all lack the basic Islamic knowledge and we’re getting lost in this temporary world. In this modern era of technology, we are getting away from our Deen (religion). We are so obsessed over these worldly pleasures that we do not see that an inevitable is yet to come.
Being a Muslim and following the path of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is no less than a blessing. As Muslims, we have blind faith in the oneness of Allah and we believe that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is the last prophet of Allah.
According to the Quran, Our Deen is completed for us. No one will ever come to teach us anymore. His demise meant the end of the Prophet Hood. Every prophet who came to this world warned his nation about the Day of Judgment and the false Messiah that would come to the world to misguide the guided. The false Messiah is known as Dajjal, he is anti-Christ.
In Arabic, Dajjal means deception. His only motive will be to misguide the people from the path of Allah. He will do things in a magical way and people will be astonish by his powers. Every religion will be misguided including Jews, Christians, and Muslims and they all believe in the arrival of False Messiah – Dajjal. It is also referred as Antichrist in the Holy Bible.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) only described the appreance of Dajjal, how will be his followers, and how can a believer can recognize him?

Here are the 10 surprising facts about Dajjal – The Antichrist that every one should know.
1- One with Blind Eye
Dajjal – The Antichrist would be the one with blind eye. Our Prophet Muhammad SAW called Dajjal as Al-Awar means one with a blind eye. He (SAW) said Dajjal right eye would be like a floating grape and will not be fixed in one place. Its left eye will also be defective.
Ibn Umar reported that Allah’s Messenger made a mention of Dajjal in the presence of the people and said: Allah is not one-eyed and behold that Dajjal is blind of the right eye and his eye would be like a floating grape.
It is narrated in one of the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W that while explaining the appearance of Dajjal said that he will be having very curly hair. In another hadith, it is mentioned that he will be having an abundance of hair.
The important description given by our Holy Prophet about Dajjal is there would be a word KAFIR written between his eyebrows and forehead and a believer of Allah would clearly see that word and recognize him.
Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger said: There would be written three letters k. f. r., i. e. Kafir, between the eyes of the Dajjal.
It is also narrated in another Hadith that even illiterate people would be able to read the word Kafir on his forehead .
4- He will emerge from Khorasan
It was narrated that Abu Bakr Siddiq said: “The Messenger of Allah told us: ‘Dajjal will emerge in a land in the east called Khorasan, and will be followed by people with faces like hammered shields.’”
5- Dajjal would not be able to enter Makkah and Madina
It is mentioned in Hadiths that Dajjal would not be allowed to enter Madina. He will try to enter but will have to stay outside Madina in the salty barren areas.
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, “Dajjal will come to Madina and find the angels guarding it. So Allah willing, neither Ad-Dajjal nor plague will be able to come near it.”
In another Hadith it is mentioned that he will not be able to enter Makkah and Madina
6- Power to make someone Alive
It is narrated in Hadith that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W explained that Dajjal will be having powers to kill someone and make him alive again.
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Allah’s Messenger told us a long narrative about Ad-Dajjal, and among the many things he mentioned, was his saying,
“on that day the best man or one of the best men will come up to him and say, ‘I testify that you are the same Dajjal whose description was given to us by Allah’s Messenger.’ Ad-Dajjal will say to the people, ‘If I kill this man and bring him back to life again, will you doubt my claim?’ They will say, ‘No.’
Then Ad-Dajjal will kill that man and bring him back to life. That man will say, ‘Now I know your reality better than before.’ Ad-Dajjal will say, ‘I want to kill him but I cannot.’ ”
7- He will be the biggest Fitnah
Prophet Muhammad S.A.W used to seek refuge from the trial of Dajjal. Indeed, he will be a great Fitnah for the believers. Abu Darda’ reported Allah’s Apostle as saying: If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah Al Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal.
All the Prophets warned about Dajjal: All the prophets of Allah warned their people about the Fitnah of Dajjal. It is said that there are around 124,000 prophets in the world.
8- More than 70,000 Jews will follow Dajjal
It is also mentioned in a hadith that Dajjal will be followed by around 70,000 Jews who will be wearing Persian shawls.
Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls.
9- Water and Fire
It has also been reported in one of the Hadith that Dajjal will come with water and fire. What would seem to be water, would be fire. In the same way, what would seem to be fire, would be the cold water.
It was narrated that Hudhaifah said: The Messenger of Allah said: ‘I know what the Dajjal will have with him. He will have two flowing rivers, one that appears to the eye to be clear water, and one that appears to the eye to be flaming fire. If anyone sees that, let him go to the river which he thinks is fire and close his eyes, then lower his head and drink from it, for it is cool water.
10- Hazrat Isa A.S. will kill Dajjal
Mujammi’ bin Jariyah Al-Ansari said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) saying: ‘Eisa bin Maryam will kill the Dajjal at the gate of Ludd.’”
Lastly, may Allah guide us to the right path and keep us all far away from the Fitnah of Dajjal. Amen
